How would you describe your music?
Dark undertones with glimpses of light
What is your musical creative process like?
We typically exchange music ideas electronically and we only bring the ideas to the studio once there is a solid structure.
How did the band form?
We (Stefanos and Paschalis) met at our working place, CERN, the world’s largest particle physics laboratory located in Geneva, Switzerland. After playing in a few cover bands, we decided to start writing our own music. Our colleagues Paul, Andrés and Emil joined the band in 2021.
How did you come up with your band name?
Just wanted to pay tribute to the great filmmaker Michael Haneke and his superbly disturbing masterpiece White Ribbon, where he builds a second-to-none atmosphere without a single note of music!
Who influenced you within the music industry?
Various acts from different genres such as Bauhaus, Madrugada, Interpol, Porcupine Tree and A Perfect Circle.
Have you performed live much and what was your favourite gig to play at?
Unfortunately, we haven’t managed to play much mainly due to the pandemic. Our favourite gig so far was opening the concert of the goth giants Burning Gates at Death Disco (Athens, Greece).
What is the best thing about being in a band?
Creativity!
What’s the biggest problem you’ve had to overcome so far as musicians?
To get access to major venues and festivals but we are working on it.
What plans have you got coming up this year?
The golden triptych gigs-gigs-gigs.
What is your ultimate dream as a band?
To be included in lists of artists worth listening to for fans of dark music.
