How would you describe your music?

Our music is a continuous mixture of power-heavy metal riffs with a constant melodic research.

What is your musical creative process like?

It’s not easy to explain. Sometimes Lorenzo completes what other guys compose, sometimes Lorenzo composes by himself and the other ones complete it. Everyone gives their contribution to the composing process.

How did the band form?

In 1997, Daniele and Ivan formed a Metallica cover band, then Lorenzo met them and we started playing together. After some weeks we tried to compose our own music in Metallica’s style and soon after that, we started composing tracks in our own style.

How did you come up with your band name?

We started with the name ‘Metal Militia’, because we love Metallica and because we started playing their songs. Soon Lorenzo decided to switch the band’s name to Stealth (the name of war air jets) to take distance from Metallica.

The Stealth war air jets are like our music – a mixture of power and unexpected melodic research.

Who influenced you within the music industry?

We think that our sound has a mix of influences. For example, Ivan loves Pantera, Fear Feactory and Machine Head. While Michele loves Tool with their polyrhythmic style. As for Lorenzo and Daniele, they love progressive metal bands like Dream Theater and Symphony X.

Have you performed live much and what was your favourite gig to play at?

We performed live in a lot of places in Europe, but our favourite gig was in Kyiv in 2010 at Route 66 Club. We recorded our first live album there and we released two video clips from that night. You can find them on our website.

We’d like to take this opportunity to hug all Ukrainian fans and people in this terrible period.

What is the best thing about being in a band?

For us, music is like continuously falling in love that never ends and to be part of a band is like being part of a family. We are like brothers and we love spending time together also without playing.

What’s the biggest problem you’ve had to overcome so far as a musician(s)?

The biggest problem that we had to overcome so far as musicians are the fear of people’s judgement. For example, after every gig, Lorezo would think: “Did I play right? Is my guitar technique good enough?” He thinks that this is a normal process for guitar players.

He resolves this problem by giving you a tip: stay happy and play your music with love, because if you love your music probably others will love you too.

What plans have you got coming up this year?

This year we’d like to return live music and play on stage after we had to stop due to the pandemic.

Our first gig was at the Renaissance Alternative Festival in London on 14th  May.

What is your ultimate dream as a band?

We hope to share the stage with great bands one day and also share our music and vibes with all our fans again.
