I hate to say it but this year I failed to attend a summer music festival; since my first music festival back in 2012.
I did try buying tickets for Glastonbury Festival back in October but they sold out farr too quickly despite logging on at exactly 9am.
Then when I found out Foo Fighters were headlining Reading+Leeds Festival, I tried purchasing a Reading day ticket but they were also sold out.
Another combination of reasons included my availability, my friends availability and the uncertainty of carers.
Luckily, thanks to technology and BBC iPlayer, I was still able to enjoy some bands on their live streaming service – although it doesn’t have the same vibe of being there.
Here are my Reading Festival highlights of 2019:
Royal Blood – Main Stage
Blossoms – Main Stage
Foo Fighters – Main Stage
