The benefits of detailed theatre access information for disabled audiences

Going to the theatre is such a magical experience. With more theatres catering for disabled people with various accessibility features, audiences can enjoy stage productions no matter their impairment. However, finding theatre access information can sometimes be more challenging. This is where AccessAble comes in.

AccessAble’s Detailed Access Guides provide in-depth information on the accessibility features available at a venue. The Guides, which our trained surveyors produce, are full of all the facts, figures and photographs that disabled people need to plan their visit. We are proud to have created Detailed Access Guides for all of the National Theatre venues, ATG Entertainment theatres, Sheffield Theatres, and the Southbank Centre, alongside 100s of regional theatres.

Here, AccessAble Ambassador and theatre-goer, Emma Purcell, shares her love for attending the theatre, how theatre accessibility features have supported her and why theatres should have Detailed Access Guides.
