10 alternative Christmas songs

The big day is finally approaching. You’ve wrapped all your presents, ordered your turkey and sorted out the spare room for Grandma. But there is still one thing you need to consider; What music should you play on Christmas Day? Although I do love a bit of the classics including Slade, Wizard, Mariah Carey and Band-Aid, I’ve also discovered some great alternative rock festive tunes for those of you with a more eclectic choice in music.

Please check out these 10 alternative Christmas songs and share your thoughts and opinions in the comments box or on social media:

1. Thank God it’s Christmas by Queen

2. Christmas All Over Again by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

3. Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town by Bruce Springsteen

4. Is this Christmas? by The Wombats

5. Winter Wonderland by Courteeners

6. Christmas Lights by Coldplay

7. Won’t Be Home For Christmas by Blink-182

8. Christmas Time (Don’t let the bells end) by The Darkness

9. Run Rudolph Run by Chuck Berry

10. Christmas Canon Rock by Trans Siberian Orchestra
