Shagged Married Annoyed Live
18 months after purchasing these tickets (no this wasn’t even delayed because of Covid, just booked a very long time ago), my friend Pluggy and I finally got to see Chris and Rosie Ramsey perform their live podcast Shagged Married Annoyed in Bournemouth.
It was a fantastic and hysterical show – a perfect last night out of 2023.
It had all the elements we know and love from the weekly podcast but it also had some great additions, which were so funny.
I particularly enjoyed Chris and Rosie’s beef rap battle and Rosie coming on the stage dressed as a blood blob (If you don’t know, Rosie talks about her periods A LOT!)
Books
I have managed to read quite a few books this month. I managed to finish the seventh book in the Strike series, The Running Grave, by JK Rowling. It was a very dramatic and intense book but thoroughly enjoyable. It was still left on a very irritating cliffhanger, so I hope there is an eighth book.
I then found out that the England women’s football coach Sarina Wiegman released an autobiography titled What It Takes. It was an interesting read but the layout of the book was confusing at times as there was one narrator but several other coaches and players made contributions to the book so it was hard to follow, which passage belonged to whom.
Following the sad passing of Friends actor Matthew Perry, I decided to read his autobiography, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing. I had it saved in my Wish List for a while but I haven’t had the chance to read it until now. It was a very heartfelt and emotional book, especially now we know how his final days had occurred. It was so sad to hear how many struggles he was going through in his life. Despite this, he sounded like a lovely guy and a true gentleman.
I’m now reading another autobiography, Kill the Unicorn, by Chelsea women’s manager Emma Hayes.
Since the WSL has gained more media coverage in the past few years, I have become a fan of the Chelsea women’s team. Partly because Portsmouth women are not in this league and there’s no way of watching lower league women’s football but mostly because I am in love with Emma Hayes. She is one of the most incredible football coaches and people in the world and a true legend of the game. I was gutted when I heard the news that she will be leaving at the end of this season to become the US women’s coach next year.
I came across this autobiography the other day and I fancied giving it a read. She talks about her career but also gives advice about how to be a good leader – it is really interesting.
TV
I watched all three seasons of The Morning Show on AppleTV+. It was very dramatic throughout and the latest series had very shocking moments in each episode. I can’t tell if this is going to be the final series or potentially there will be a fourth series.
And being November, I have of course been watching I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, a tradition of mine every year. I think I’d like to see Josie win it but I can’t stand that Nella girl. She is so whiny and always think she has to be right. Plus, I don’t think you can define her as an actual celebrity!
Donations
If you’ve been enjoying reading my blog content this year, please consider supporting me by donating money to help fund future blog posts. Plus 20% of each donation will go to a disability charity at the end of 2023!
So far, I’ve received £60 worth of donations. If you could help me reach my target of £100 by 31st December, that would be very much appreciated.
Audio Description petition
My campaign for audio description has continued throughout November 2023 and the petition has now gained a total of 3685 signatures, which is incredible!
But I’m eager to reach thousands more. The more signatures we get, the more likely changes will be made within the TV and film industries. Please, please, PLEASE continue to sign & share my petition!
Guest Bloggers Wanted
I’m still eager to collaborate with even more bloggers in 2023. So, if you’re a lifestyle, disability and/or music blogger, send me your blog stories. Plus let me know if you’d like me to feature on your blog as a guest blogger.
I’m flexible with any type of blog post – life story, disability awareness, music event, musician promotion – basically anything to do with life, disability or music!
In addition, I have a guest blog series called “RFD Question Time with…” where I interview disabled people and/or bloggers. If you’d like to be interviewed in this series, please also contact me.
