Artist’s Name: Kade Storm
Genre: Black Metal & Doom Metal
Founded: 2003/2004
Originated From: London, United Kingdom
Discography: Ascension (LP – 2021)
How would you describe your music?
It’s Black Metal in terms of general aesthetic and theme, but with some Doom Metal and Death Metal elements.
What is your musical creative process like?
Often quite chaotic and requires a decent level of management to make sure focus is present.
How did you start out as a musician?
It’s a dull beginning. I had certain ideas and felt that a solo project, or at least one where I have maximum control of everything, would be a good way to experiment with those ideas.
Who influenced you within the music industry?
Countless bands and figures to name, which often results in tangential lists that still fail to adequately capture everything.
Roughly speaking,
I’ve been influenced by the Extreme Metal scene as a global umbrella, but with specific inspiration from European Black, Death and Doom Metal.
Have you performed live much and what was your favourite gig to play at?
I’ve only ever done some sporadic live work as a masked stand-in for a friend’s project, and it was all largely uneventful. I haven’t considered doing live work with my solo project.
What is the best thing about being a musician?
Getting to realise my ideas and vision.
What’s the biggest problem you’ve had to overcome so far as a musician(s)?
Being able to harness inspiration and creative focus. Sometimes, these present themselves under arduous and enraging circumstances, which makes for a difficult battle with the ideas.
What plans have you got coming up this year?
For now, my focus is to promote the LP, Ascension, which was digitally released at the end of April. It’s also seeing a physical CD release via Narcoleptica Productions.
What is your ultimate dream as a musician?
I’d say that it’s more of an agenda, and that’s to realise my creative vision.
