Music Interview: Life Underfoot

Life Underfoot

This week I give you a short introduction and brief interview with American band Life Underfoot:

Band Name: Life Underfoot
Members: Andre Judge (Vocals, Guitar) Emory Davies (Bass Guitar) & James E. Pilipovic (Drums)
Genre: Alternative Rock/Emo/Indie
Founded: January 2017
Originated From: Owego, New York, USA
Discography: Black Canvas (Demo), Morning the Morning (EP), Brighter Days Split (EP), Peaks and Valleys (EP)

How would you describe your music?

It’s just stuff that we enjoy to play and put out. We have been decribed as many things. Punk, Emo, Pop Punk, Alt Rock & Grunge.

How did the band form?

Andre was kicking around the band name for awhile just doing acoustic stuff. Then when his band “When You’re Not Home” ended, he recruited his old school friend Emory whose band Sky Transit just ended as well. Then after a couple of fill-in drummers, we went with James, and Andre who we met through local shows and friends. Now Life Underfoot is a full-fledged band.

Who influenced you within the music industry?

Title Fight, Man Overboard, Trophy Eyes, Brand New, Blink-182, Nirvana, Mineral are just a few to name. But we draw influences from lots of artists.

Have you performed live much and what was your favourite gig to play at?

Our favourite gig to date would have to be 28th January 2019 at Laurel Booking. Our buddy Micah throws the best shows. Good crowd, we were able to feed off the energy. Plus we made some decent money for a show so that was awesome.

What is the best thing about being in a band/musician?

Just being able to play shows and have fun. Plus who doesn’t like meeting new friends? That’s why we’re in a band. Just to play shows and do what we love.

What plans have you got coming up this year?

Just playing more shows including two dates at the Creep Recoreds Store in Philidephia on 7th & 8th March 2019. Also, we will hopefully have a new EP out soon.
